Specifically working with the Department of Defense, Brett finds ways to optimize his client’s spending, especially in a time with diminishing resources.

>> My name is Brad Fisher and I work for Deloitte Consulting in Arlington, Virginia. At Deloitte, I work with I guess the federal government and we provide services around enterprise transformation. So what we do is try and optimize ways to identify how they can best spend limited taxpayer resources. My client is within the Department of Defense and as we sort of scale down our operations overseas, one of the core questions I have is how can they continue-- or how can they do more and you know, continue that same service level that they're able to provide or were able to provide with significantly less resources. So we try and optimize and identify opportunities to do that for our federal clients. Our engagements typically last between three and six months, sometimes longer but typically sort of in that duration and we're tasked with identifying sort of go in and meet with our clients and understand some of the business problems that they're faced with and some of the opportunities that maybe we can use and sort of leverage our experience to identify sort of opportunities to either reduce the overall sort of cost picture, all right, let's take a look into the procurement process, identify ways to sort of, you know, reduce the resources consumed or potentially the price of resources that we received through, you know, contract or negotiations and other areas of improvement.
