Finding Funding Sources
Recognizing the value of high-impact practices in student success, the College offers funding resources that students can apply for to support internships, research, study abroad, and conference participation.
The College of St. Scholastica offers an experiential learning fund with gifts from the Student Government Association, President’s Cabinet, and generous donations through Give to CSS Day. These funds will help increase equity and access to experiential learning activities at CSS.
Funds are awarded three times per year:
June 1 Deadline: Current Summer and Future Fall
September 1 Deadline: Current Fall and Future Spring
January 15 Deadline: Current Spring, Future Summer
Eligibility:
- Experiential activity must already be identified and/or secured
- Student must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at CSS
- Student’s cumulative GPA must be 2.0 or higher
- Experiential Learning activity must be unpaid
- Education Abroad experiences must earn academic credit
- Research opportunities must be partnered with a faculty member or institute
- Conferences are not eligible through this fund. Alternative funds may be available for conferences.
- Candidates must have explored and applied for other funding sources. Students without other funding sources will receive priority
- Students are only eligible for one ELF award
- Recipients must complete a short reflection, submit a donor thank you note and photo from the activity.
