With these examples, you will see the basics of how to format your name, education section, relevant vs. supporting experience, volunteering, research, and others. These resumes are tools to help you get started on your own resume.

When starting your resume here’s a few generic tips: 

  • Start on a blank document, not a template. This is easier to edit as you go along.
  • Use a simple font and no colors to make it easier to read.
  • When writing your bullets make sure to start them with an action verb. If you are still working at the location keep it in present tense, if you aren’t put it in past tense. 
  • Keep your resume to one page!
